Moka was established in 2014 and they are growing fast in empowering businesses to sell and grow. Starting up, Moka came up with a mobile POS (Point of Sales) system, but gradually, Moka evolves into something bigger every year. To align with Moka’s vision of bringing the business ecosystem to everyone, they have broadened their products and services beyond POS system.

Thanks to Moka’s Product Team, right now, they have Moka Pay as a payment aggregator, Moka Capital to channel loans, Moka Fresh to cater ingredients, and Moka Connect as a marketplace app integrated with their back-office programs.

Team Behind the Products

At Moka, they use an alignment called Pods; it is a cross-functional team that can work autonomously with little dependency on other Pods.

Each Pod handles a product that has its independent purpose and goals derived from Moka’s overall product goals. Every Pod is led by a product manager who collaborates with engineers, QAs, program managers, and UI/UX to build solutions for their merchants. The process to build a solution is done on a 2-week sprint and regular release cycles. This alignment gives Moka a big advantage that is aligned with their culture in Moving Fast to develop many products at a time.

Moka believes that product is more than just an app, it includes the end-to-end merchant’s experience. Hence, every product solution is created by utilizing the best technology, sales, marketing, and operational processes.
