The Indonesian Government launched Gerakan Menuju 100 Smart City (Towards 100 Smart City Movement). The main goal is that each region can further maximize the use of technology, both in elevating the community services and accelerating each region’s potential. MacroAd takes part in improving productivity and drives various economic, social, and cultural changes in society into a more positive direction.
As a form of concern in developing ecosystems that educate people, MacroAd has developed digital media that are integrated with the public area and public transportation services. The development of those media by MacroAd is based on the concept of “MacroAd Zone-Smart Digital Ecosystem” (MacroAd Zone-SDE).
Gradually and aggressively, MacroAd under PT. Pulau Pulau Media has been establishing media infrastructures since 2014 up until now. Realizing that societies’ needs to information are growing rapidly, MacroAd takes further steps in providing free Wi-Fi networks starting with the train and KRL station around Jabodetabek, 153 public markets of Perumda Pasar Jaya, even to the train and long-distance train station.
Listed below are the various realization of MacroAd media based on the MacroAd Zone-SDE concept:
The installation of TV screen devices inside the train car began in 2014. At the beginning of the implementation, MacroAd refers to the concept of Digital Out of Home (DooH). After that, MacroAd tried to develop internal software that would support advertising management on 924 digital screens spread across 231 train car of KRL Commuterline via Synchronized Broadcast. Since then, digital media management on the screen has continued to develop gradually until now. Even so, MacroAd screen does not always show ads, but also broadcasts inspirational and entertaining contents through a Creative In-House programed named LINIKINI. Some of the contents from LINIKINI are Mana Tau, Photo Of The Day (POTD), Trainsetter, Log In, Lagi-Lagi Makan, Cinemaganda, dan LiniSport.
The Realization of MacroAd Zone-SDE:
KRL users with an average of 1.000.000 people per day can get inspirational information and entertainment.
On 2017, MacroAd develops an environment of #FreeWi-Fi:MacroAd Zone for station and KRL train all around Jabodetabek. There are five stations which are the pilot project, such as Tanah Abang, Juanda, Cikini, Sudirman, Universitas Indonesia, and Bogor.
The development continued until 2018-2019, and now FreeWi-Fi:MacroAd Zone is available in 46 KRL station and in each train car. #FreeWi-Fi: MacroAd Zone will later be combined integrally and systematically with other MacroAd environments, such as Railink Train to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Perumda Pasar Jaya, station and long-distance train (Bandung and Surabaya).
The Realization of MacroAd Zone-SDE:
The people who are around the MacroAd environment will get an easier access to information and entertainment through Free Wifi MacroAd.
Technically, advertisement broadcast and content on this type of environment is similar to the station and KRL train. Since the beginning of 2017, MacroAd has been putting up TV screen on Railink train. Moreover, there are other media installation such as standing digital totem, video wall and static advertisement media on some points, especially BNI City station and Railink Soekarno-Hatta station.

The Railink train passenger who goes vice versa from Soekarno-Hatta airport to Jakarta will get numerous information and services.
In mid-2018, MacroAd carried out media development to be placed at the toll gate owned by PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP). Up to this point, the placement of LED Screen has been done in 2 locations, namely Cempaka Putih toll gate (4 LED screen) and Ancol toll gate (2 LED screen). The development is a revamp to the static media that was previously installed at the toll gate into digital screens that are integrated with each other.

The drivers that are about to enter toll through toll gate owned by PT CNMP will acquire various information in real-time, such as traffic information at toll, tariff information based on vehicle types and other new information.
The provision of Digital Media and Wi-Fi at Perumda Pasar Jaya officially installed on 17 January 2019/ The first development phase was done at Pasar Mayestik with media installation of totem, video wall, and #FreeWi-FI:MacroAd.
The realization of MacroAd Zone-SDE:
The sellers and buyers that visit public markets owned by Perumda Pasar Jaya will get information related to commodity price in real-time based on the data provided by Informasi Pangan Jakarta, Bank Indonesia.
In mid of March 2019. PT. KAI targeted 100 Argo Parahiyangan trains to have #FreeWi-FI:MacroAd facility. Further development will also include stations that are traversed by the long-distance train to Jakarta-Bandung and Jakarta-Surabaya.
