On last Saturday (7/10) dan Sunday (8/10) Business IT Case COMPFEST (BIZZ-IT) has been held which took place in Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia on the first day and Santika Hotel, Depok on the second. There are 5 teams that made it to the final stage and they still have to fight their way to become the winner in this 11th COMPFEST BIZZ IT Competition.
Day 1: Learn IT from the Best
After the opening from the COMPFEST Committee, the finalists of BIZZ IT have to go through mentoring session under the help of professional mentors. The first session was filled in by Benhart Farras Sukandar as the Lead Voice of Startups at Kennedy Voice and Berliner.
After each team showed their presentation of their result from the case that was given by the committee, Benhart then gave them their evaluation and also feedbacks to each team. The majority of the teams have been rated very well by him although they still have something lacking like the lack of risk-taking and countermeasure for future problems that might appear later on. The first session ends at 11pm, then the second session will continue after the break
In the second session, Teddy Asril, who is an Independent Management Consultant spoke as a mentor for this session. Different from the last session, this time he gave full-on material about Business IT Strategy and Development for this whole session. Here he taught the finalists about different kinds of Business Development Strategy plan that can help the growth of an organization or more.
The mentoring session finished at 2.45 pm, and a final briefing was held after by the committee before the finalists were moved to a different location which is Santika Hotel to prepare them for the final Presentation.
Day 2: Final Presentation and Awarding Night
The second and final day of BIZZ IT Competition was held on Santika Hotel. After being quarantined for about 12 hours, the finalist teams are requested to present their presentation in front of the juries who were invited by COMPFEST. The juries are Hasriady Dharma, Head of Business Analyst of Enbiz Cipta Solusi, Dr. Dede Mulyana, the Founder and CEO of Mitratex, and a Professional Consultant, Mardhika Agung Riadi.
The finalists presented their final business idea, starting from Team Ganesha Consultant, Team Induk Bawang, Team Ethereal, Team Syclon, and last but not least Team Victoria. All the five teams showed their best solution in a very professional and well-tailored presentation just before the Awarding Night.
After every team finished their presentation, the committee then mobilized them to Balai Sidang, Universitas Indonesia to attend the Awarding Night, i which out of five teams, only the three of them will win, with one additional award for the best speaker. After the opening ceremony by the Project Officer of COMPFEST and the Chairman of BEM, the announcement was announced by the HR Partner of GRAB, Jaka Arya Sakti. The 1st place winner is The Ethereal team, followed by team Induk Bawang as the 1st runner up and team Victoria as the 2nd runner up, while the Best Speaker award goes to Feby Eliana Tengry from team Ethereal.
